Thomas the Tank Engine and his Friends run on time thanks to BiblioDAM | 30/01/2009 |
We are delighted to announce that Egmont UK, the second largest children’s publisher in the UK has gone live with BiblioDAM, Virtusales’ Digital Asset Management system. Thomas the Tank Engine and two other key character licenses were launched in Phase One, with other licenses and publications to follow on in later phases.
Egmont UK required a system with a centralized searchable asset store to hold their internal assets along with licensed third party assets, enabling designers and sales teams to find, use and re-use assets quickly and easily. They also wanted to utilize the inbuilt workflow and validation within BiblioDAM to control designer’s workflow throughout the system, enabling the designers to upload assets at key points and allow editors and designers alike to access the most recent version of the files.
As Virtusales first combined Books and Magazines implementation, we are obviously very excited to have been awarded the project and to have worked so closely with Egmont on their requirements and understanding their business drivers for implementing BiblioDAM.
With Phase two and Phase three already underway to add more assets and users to the system – it’s full steam ahead!
