Virtusales save Publishers a Christmas headache | 04/01/2010 |
On 1 January 2010, the VAT rate increased back up to 17.5% from its temporary holiday at 15%. VAT changes can prove to be a headache for publishers and their pricing systems, however Virtusales worked hard over the Christmas period to ensure that when its client publishers arrived back in the new year, their Biblio systems reflected:
- the VAT rate had been changed back to 17.5%
- the VAT and vatable amounts on editions had been recalculated
- the publication price had been recalculated
- all changes had been logged in the Change History
- all effected editions and payments had been sent in a special feed to update publisher’s other systems.
Virtusales highly value the importance of keeping their customers up to date with the latest industry standards and any updates such as this one are carried out free of charge.
With Virtusales taking care of updates such as these, it allows Publishers to focus their attention on the more important and exciting part of their business; creating books!
