The 2019 BiblioU User Group Meeting, hosted by Princeton University Press, was held in May and gathered publishing professionals from all corners of the industry together to share experiences and knowledge.
After the incredible success of the inaugural event in 2018, Virtusales was delighted to once again be supporting the 2019 BiblioU User Group meeting. Founded by Harvard University Press and Princeton University Press, it was PUP that kindly hosted this year's event at the Chauncey Hotel & Conference Center, just down the road from their campus.
Great experience, lots of fun.

My greatest benefit from BiblioU was the networking aspect and getting to meet and discuss Biblio issues with peers at other presses.

It was a jam-packed two-day event that saw Biblio users from all types of publishing houses around the world come together to share their experiences of Biblio and discuss issues affecting the industry as a whole.
As ever, the topics of best practices and workflows were at the forefront, with the second morning focusing on the popular subject of marketing and publicity.
Harvard Press’s Karen Peláez talked us through her processes for using the suite to market subsidiary rights, while another session discussed the nitty-gritty technical details of using the DAM and XSLTs to generate formatted content.

Leading the conversation, users discussed benefits and time savers within Biblio, as well as pitfalls and workarounds. Spirits were high as attendees came together to share their experiences and knowledge, continuing to build relationships across the greater Biblio community.
Thanks for a great conference!
